Third Man Records to Host Stage at MI Fest, Release Jack White-Produced JEFF the Brotherhood Single in October

Damn, JEFF! Every time I think you guys can't possibly fill my inbox and browser with any further news bits, you up and prove me wrong. But that's what happens when you wear the crown of "Local Punk Band Gone National Blog Darlings." You stay in the news.

Let's start from the top.

You know how I mentioned that The Raconteurs will be playing the MI Fest in Brooklyn, Mich., come Sept. 17? Well, they'll be bringing that elusive Rolling Record Store of theirs with them. They'll also be hosting a Third Man stage, which will see performances from JEFF the Brotherhood, PUJOL, Black Milk, The Black Belles and The Thornbills — all of whom have had releases via TMR.

What's more, JEFF — who Third Man describes as "Nashville's best 2 piece brother band. The WORLDS best 2 piece brother band!" — will be releasing a Blue Series single via TMR in October. The 7-inch will feature "Whatever I Want," with a cover of Tiger B. Smith's "Everything I Need" as the B-side. The single will be produced by Jack White. For more info, see Third Man's website. By the way, that image over there isn't the official single cover. Just a hot pic.

Reference points: JEFF inked a deal with Warner Brothers, they're playing at Exit/In tonight with Pentagram, and they have a music video with bloody breasts in it.
