Musicians Corner is back. Saying that, I'm realizing it's entirely possible that you don't know what Musicians Corner is, so allow me to explain. It's a free, Saturday-afternoon, outdoor concert series taking place at Centennial Park. They wrapped up their spring season on July 2 — skipping the gnarliest part of summer, heat-wise; very smart — and are commencing their fall series on Sept. 3. According to a release, the Sept. 3 Musicians Corner "is being presented by Brite Revolution and will feature performances by Attwater, The CO, Andrew Osenga, Striking Matches, Foxes Have Foxholes and students from the Metro Parks jamBand."

There's even a quote from the mayor here. It's a controversial one — an announcement that will no doubt stir up a heated maelstrom of a response:

"We are excited to see Musicians Corner back in Centennial Park," said Mayor Karl Dean. “Musicians Corner offers great entertainment at a great location. Everyone should be sure to come out this fall."

I was kidding about the controversial thing. Anyhow, Musicians Corner takes place every Saturday between Sept. 3 and Nov. 5. Hours are 3 p.m.-6 p.m., and you can see the full schedule here or after the jump.
