Oh, weird. You know what I just realized I have a pair of sitting on my desk? Wait ... I should rephrase that. There are these two matching things sitting on my desk, staring me right in the face. You know what, forget it. Katy Perry is playing Bridgestone Arena this Friday, Aug. 19, and I have two tickets here. I'm going to give them to somebody.
Some people — youngsters, pop apologists and karaoke enthusiasts, mostly — like Katy Perry. Others — nearly everyone else, I'd imagine — are indifferent or straight-up don't like her. (Personally, I find most of her catalog negligible, but "Teenage Dream" is undeniable.) Contributors Sean L. Maloney and Steve Haruch penned a point-counterpoint on Katy Perry for me in this week's forthcoming dead-tree edition. (Can you guess which one of them is pro-Perry?! You might be surprised!) Anyway, let's get down to biz here. If you want to snatch this pair off of my desk, come up with the most entertaining caption you can for the above image. Remember to enter your email address in the corresponding field — we won't publish it, but we'll need it in order to contact our winner. We'll determine our winner around noon on Thursday, and email him/her shortly thereafter. Be sure to check your Hotmail/Mindspring/AOL/whatevs account. All right, everyone ... GO!
Update: We have our winner! Thanks for playing. Also, I'd like to mention that these were some of the best submissions we've had in a long time. Great job to everyone.
