There's badass news for the eternal alterna-teen in all of us today. Word on the web is that oft-troubled troubadour Evan Dando and his Lemonheads — currently comprised of bassist Josh Lattanzi (The Candles) and drummer Brian Nolan (American Hi-Fi) — will be performing their seminal 1992 bubble-grunge classic
It's a Shame About Ray in its entirety at our very own Mercy Lounge on
Aug. 3 Oct. 3.
If this news doesn't excite you to the core, chances are you've probably never listened to this flawless 13-song slab of pop perfection. Repeatedly. For months on end. Which is fine. You've got, like, a month-and-a-half two-and-a-half to do that right now. In fact, you can start here.
Update: In his excitement, Seth typed "Oct. 3" as "Aug. 3." Our bad. You'll have to wait an additional two months for The Lemonheads.
