Weekend Round-Up: Two Turntables and a Microphone Style

My finest work yet, definitely.
  • My finest work yet, definitely.
Sometimes round-up styles are no-brainers. And sometimes, well ... It's Beck's 41st birthday! Happy birthday, Beck. In celebration, I will listen to "Where It's At" at full volume 41 times in a row, and also check my OT levels. Seriously though, Odelay, Mutations, Midnite Vultures, hell, even The Information. Good stuff.

Back to the here and now, where (and when) we've got some decent shows going on. Tonight you've got The Rolling Papers World Tour featuring Wiz Khalifa and more at Municipal, Sebastian Speaks' anniversary party featuring KORT and D. Watusi at VFW Post 1970, the first night of Old 97's and Those Darlins' two-night stand at Mercy Lounge, The Coolin' System at The Basement, Hank III at Exit/In and plenty more. Tomorrow you're looking at more from Old 97's and Those Darlins at Mercy, The Strange Boys and Natural Child at Third Man, The Protomen's ACT 1 vinyl release featuring The Non-Commissioned Officers at 12th & Porter and loads more. See the rest — compiled by music listings editor and licensed Sexx Lawyer Adam Gold — after the jump. Let us know what we missed, and have yourselves a fantastic weekend.
