Cream Calendar The Strange Boys to Play Third Man Records Saturday, July 9

I can hear your thought process from all the way over here: "Wait a minute ... Weren't The Strange Boys just here? Like, just here?" Well, if by "just" you mean "three weeks ago," then yes. They were just here. The Strange Boys played The End on June 15 with Denney and the Jets, D. Watusi and The Paperhead. It was pleasing and raucous and, in combination with the fact that I had just seen Cirque du Soleil, it made for a magical evening. And for those who missed out, here's your chance to make things right.
This Saturday, July 9, Austin's "swaggering, proficient" garage-rockers (to quote myself) will appear at the shop that Jack White built alongside local Stonesy stoners Natural Child. Say the TMR boys, "On the DJ front we'll have our friends from Nashville's Dead and The Paperhead spinning heavy psych boogie all night." Tickets are $5 and available now via Third Man.
