KORT to Play Grimey's In-Store June 18, Hopscotch Festival in September

It's the Summer of Wagner! Hot on the heels of Lambchop's show this Friday, June 3, at Cheekwood, Kurt Wagner's other outfit — a little band by the name of "KORT," who a little blogger by the name of "me" penned this cover story on last year — will be doing an in-store at Grimey's on June 18. As the fine folks at Grimey's put it, "unless you were able to squeeze [into Betty's for KORT's only stateside show to date] before it packed out or you happened to be traveling in Europe," you probably haven't seen Wagner, Tidwell & Co. live yet.

But, if you don't get your KORT quota filled by the Grimey's in-store, you can always make the hop, skip and jump over to Raleigh, NC, where KORT will be holding court as part of the Hopscotch Music Festival. That goes down from Sept. 8-10, and will also feature appearances from Guided by Voices, The Flaming Lips, JEFF the Brotherhood, Black Lips, J Mascis, Toro y Moi, The Dodos, Yelawolf, The Love Language, KORT/Lambchop guitarist William Tyler and loads more.
