Tristen Plays KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic

Posted by on Fri, May 20, 2011 at 1:28 PM

Nashville-based folk-pop songstress Tristen has been criss-crossing the country as of late, bringing tunes from her critically heralded full-length debut Charlatans at the Garden Gate to West Coasters, Midwesterners and Southerners alike. She and her Brillo-haired sideman, boyfriend and general life-mate Buddy Hughen (also of the defunct, sunshine-poppy folk-rock act Eureka Gold) recently popped in at KCRW in Santa Monica to play some tunes for the station's popular Morning Becomes Eclectic series. Hear or watch the whole thing via KCRW, and see T-Bone and The Bud doing "Matchstick Murder" above. Full disclosure: There was a music video for "Matchstick Murder" once, but it was nearly ruined by the spotty acting of a Colonel Mustard lookalike.
