Cream Calendar Weekend Round-Up: Unmasked Style

I didn't realize just how knowledgeable trusty music listings editor and veritable culture sponge Adam Gold is regarding the Friday the 13th film franchise until just now. I was trying to drum up an appropriate image for the round-up, and Gold totally guided me through a synopsis of which installments saw Jason without his mask, which installments featured non-Jason killers, which ones sucked, which ones featured the most hilarious deaths and so on. Bro knows his Friday the 13th.
Anyhow, what isn't eerie is the solid collection of local-rock goodness we've got going on this weekend. As is customary, D. Striker will be making his Friday the 13th appearance tonight, this time at FooBar. Also tonight, you've got the first night of Jonathan Richman at The 5 Spot, Fleet Foxes at The Ryman, Starlicker Trio at Betty's and the first night of Naked Without Us at Mercy Lounge.
