* Will Jordan of Kimbro’s Cafe in Franklin sends word about an after-party/performance from Ween that took place at his venue after their War Memorial show last week. Says Jordan, “The band (sans Gene who was recovering from a bad cold) played around an hour-and-a-half of Ween songs ('Freedom of '76,' 'Tandy Fackler') as well as covers (Frank Sinatra's 'Summer Wind,' Motorhead's 'Ace of Spades,' Jimi Hendrix' 'Third Stone From the Sun,' Black Sabbath's 'War Pigs' as well Van Halen's 'Ain’t Talkin’ About Love' and 'Runnin’ With the Devil.')"
* Kevin Kaz of The Electric Earmuff was at the final installment of Road to Bonnaroo last night — as was The Spin, of course — and he’s got a quality clip of Uncle Skeleton’s winning performance. Good-lookin’ footage, first-class playing.
* Jennifer Farrar of Nashville Concerts landed a chat with Alex Ebert of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros while they were in town for Rites of Spring. He of former-fashion-mullet and libidinous-dance-punk acclaim is apparently currently working on a 12-part musical that is “a pretty massive fucking undertaking.”
