* Above is a promo for The Clutters’ special Record Store Day release, the “Under Suspicion” b/w “Liberty” 7-inch. We’ve already told you a little bit about The Clutters’ upcoming record, Breaking Bones. Also, pay no mind to that “OUT MAY 16” note at the end. That’s supposed to read “April 16,” duh. The Clutters posted a new version with the correct date.
* Lovable defunct local power-trio Apollo Up sends word that they’ve unearthed some old performance footage. “We'll be posting a new video up there at least weekly for the foreseeable future, starting [yesterday],” says former Apollo Up member and current Gentleman Diver Mike Shepherd. “No, this does not signify or portend anything about the future of Apollo Up other than the fact that I found out I could plug Jereme's [sic] camcorder into my computer.” Here’s the first, shot at The Basement on March 2, 2007.
* American Songwriter recently did one of those sessions they sometimes do. This one’s with Ron Sexsmith, and it features an interview plus performances of “Get in Line” and “Late Bloomer.”
* Innovation Group Nashville, a “monthly fireside chat, gathering Nashville’s thought leaders in technology, entertainment and new media content,” recently sat down with Next Big Nashville honcho and Nashville Music Council member Jason Moon Wilkins for their sixth episode. Once the host gets past her trouble pronouncing “PUJOL,” it shapes up to be an informative chat about the biz. In three parts [1, 2, 3].
