For the last four-and-a-half years, he's been working on The Other Side of Nashville, an incomplete history and discography of the Nashville rock underground from 1976 to 2006. He's almost done writing, and he expects the book to be about 600 pages, with lots of photograph and discographies of over 300 artists. Now he needs funds for the design, printing, etc., and he's asking for your help on his Kickstarter campaign.
With about seven days to go — his campaign ends at 3:10 p.m. EDT on Thursday, April 14 — he's got $885 of his $3,500 goal. As Gordon puts it so eloquently, "It's going to take some cheddar to print a few hundred or more of these suckers."
Sounds like a pretty cool project, and it'll probably be worth it for the photos and discographies alone. For $25, you'll get a signed copy of the book, and your name will be listed in the book as a supporting donor. And there are several other donation levels available, starting at $15.
