Third Man's Record Store Day Vid, My Day With's Grimey's Vid, Taylor's Mumfords Cover & Caitlin Rose on the Cheap [Media Bits]

* Above you’ll find a video from the Third Man folks — Ben Blackwell and Ben Swank, the latter of whom appears to be going to town on a mayonnaise sandwich or something — discussing their Record Store Day releases. Steve mentioned those on Monday: a couple of White Stripes single reissues, plus Karen Elson’s “Vicious” b/w “In Trouble With the Lord” and the first release from ROME, the new collab from Danger Mouse, Daniele Luppi, Jack White and Norah Jones.

* My Day With is a site that features interviews/short films about interesting folks from all over the damn place, and they recently profiled our boy, Grimey’s/The Basement honcho and Black Keys historian Mike Grimes. One note: “replace the term Contemporary Country Music for Traditional Country music. He loves Hank, Ernest and Buck, not as crazy about Rascal Flatts, Toby Keith, you get it.” [Via WOTT]

* Taylor Swift likes Mumford & Sons. How much? Enough to cover their "White Blank Page" for BBC Live Lounge. (Looks like you're not the only one who digs on the Mums, Jake.) She also covered Coldplay's "Viva la Vida," but we won't go into that. [Via AS]

* If you like getting digital records on the cheap, Amazon is currently selling Caitlin Rose’s Own Side Now for $3.99. You can also download an MP3 of her “Shanghai Cigarettes” for free. Just don’t confuse her with the other Caitlin Rose, who is “over you.” Death to false Catos! Well, no. Not really.
