Grand Palace's Bingham Barnes sent out a Facebook message this afternoon that announced the end of the tenure at the current Church Street location and two final performances to bid the space adieu:

Grand Palace is vacating 128 1/2 N. Church St. at the end of the month. We're putting on 2 last shows this weekend. Tonight: Ascent Of Everest, The Gold Room and Seafood Hotline. Tomorrow Night: Glossary and The Only Sons. Y'all probably got too much shit going on in Nashville but we'd love to see you if you can make it.

As for the future of GP operations, we are looking into it and will let you know when we know. (Clear some space in your voice mail, Bingham!) Who wants to car pool to Bucket City?

UPDATE: Well, the bold text is a bit dramatic, now isn't it? Barnes says "we don't really have details together" about what's next for Grand Palace, but he did tell Cream a few things. One, Alex (aka Gaylord) will be moving the studio to Chattanooga. Two, the screenprinting shop will operate out of a basement/garage for the time being. Three, they're looking to move to Nashville, if they can find the perfect spot. Why are they pulling up? It really comes down to "outgrowing the shop and needing to move on," Barnes says.
