Alright, where my actresses at? Looks like Music City’s about to get roasted. Some locals are filming a “Musical Mockumentary in mid Feb./late Feb,” which “will be shot in the vein of a Christopher Guest movie,” and they need a couple of leading ladies. From a Craigslist ad:

Shooting a Musical Mockumentary in mid Feb/late Feb , where we will follow the lives ( fake ) of several singers trying to make it big in Music City, but ultimately failing horribly and hilariously. We have two male leads cast. Need two female leads. Improv and Quick Wit as well as being funny are all helpful to this role. Basically this is a slap in the face to the industry that Nashville thrives on. It will be shot in the vein of a Christopher Guest movie, but entirely real. If you think you have what it takes, send email with pic and resume to address above. Would love to actually have artists in the role of the leads, but not picky. Anyways, good luck and happy submitting.

"In the vein of a Christopher Guest movie, but entirely real," doesn't exactly make sense, but I think they're trying to say it'll be pretty deadpan. Anyway, the best bit? It’s actually a paying gig. Twelve-hundred bones. Godspeed, thespians, and let us know how it goes.
