KORT Goes A.V., Theatre Intangible Breaks and Enters, Nahnee Bori Uploads New Album [Newsy Bits]

* The A.V. Club reviewed KORT's Invariable Heartache (which landed at No. 3 in our 2010 year-end albums poll), and gave it an A- (better than LCD Soundsystem!). The estimable Noel Murray, an occasional Scene contributor, calls the album "one of those periodic dispatches from the past that reminds us how the also-rans of the music industry are often better and weirder than we remember." [The A.V. Club]

* Local noise-churning, rabble-rousing podcast Theatre Intangible "breaks into WRVU" for its 50th episode ... ? "As you might remember," host Tony Youngblood says, "I was kicked off of WRVU and permanently banned from the station. Luckily, my door key scan card still works." Sounds mischievous, doesn't it? Take a listen for yourself. [Theatre Intangible]

* Lotic Prattle is the name of the new album by Nahnee Bori, which is the solo project of Cody Uhler, who is known to Cream readers far and wide for his contributions to the dormant but not necessarily moribund Kindercastle. You can download said album for the price you name over at the NB Bandcamp page, and WOTT has one song ("By Runner and Drum") to sample if you so wish. RIYL blippy-bloops and lounge-glitch atmosphere. [WOTT]
