Peter Guralnick, the esteemed music historian and scholar who wrote definitive biographies of Elvis Presley and Sam Cooke, will be the featured guest this morning on Pete Wilson's WRVU-91.1 FM show Nashville Jumps — our nomination for the best radio program on the air in Nashville, period. The author of a documentary on Sun Records producer and rock 'n' roll Prometheus Sam Phillips (which screens free next Wednesday night at Vanderbilt's Sarratt Cinema), Guralnick will discuss Phillips' recordings and legacy. Best of all, you'll get to hear those records crackle anew from car radios, fresh as trouble.

Should be on right now, from 8 to 10 a.m. You can find it online here at the 91 Rock website.
