* Local croonstress Tristen — and her crew of players, known as The Ringers — recorded a Daytrotter session. You can hear numbers from Tristen's brand-new Charlatans at the Garden Gate, including “Heart and Hope to Die,” “Doomsday,” “Eager for Your Love” and “Avalanche,” and yes, even one of those cute “Welcome to Daytrotter” lead-ins. And yes, I made up the word “croonstress.”

* Brian Ritchey — that guy with that wistful, heart-wrenching record I was telling you about — has a video for his tune “Don’t Say I.” It was directed by Scott Simontacchi, and it’s an ideal wintry, hibernatory tune. Perfect Snuggie-weather jam.

* The Deep Vibration have a new record, and it’s called Strange Love. Last I heard, The Deep V was listed as “temporarily suspended” in the “band breakups” section of our Year in Rock issue. Is Strange Love their swan song? I don’t know. While making Strange Love, did they learn to stop worrying and love the bomb? Again, don't know. But you can hear it for free or download it for 10 bones over at The Deep Vibration’s Bandcamp page.

* Remember when Yelawolf played Phatkaps? Apparently The Spin wasn't the only crew on the scene that night. Break on a Cloud shot some legit, pro-level footage of Yela and opener Rittz, and you can see all three videos: Bing, bang, boom.

* If you still need more morsels, locals The Nudity have a new, Arcade Fiery track, Those Darlins just premiered their video for "Be Your Bro" via Spin, and Quintron & Miss Pussycat (or perhaps just the latter) made a promo vid for the Bruise Cruise ... even though it's already sold out. Still, that's some dope puppetry.
