At the time, Louis Charette & Co. said, "we are keeping our fingers crossed that the downtime is short and sweet, as we love being part of the Nashville music community and look forward to getting back in the saddle soon." I don't know about you, but to me that sounded like proverbial pie in the proverbial sky. It's not like opening a record store is easy to do — much less opening the same record store twice, and in the proverbial downloading era, no less. But this past Friday, a post on the Groove blog announced some welcome good news:
We are extremely excited to announce that we are nearing completion on the new space and should have our doors open very very soon… How soon you ask? We hope within the next week or so!
The new space is great and we are eager to welcome you all in to check it out! We’ll be putting out a ton of never-before-seen stock and are certain you’ll find something that puts a smile on your face.
A subsequent post on the Facebook announced the new address: 1103 Calvin Avenue, off Gallatin and just around the corner from Tom's Elite Carryout. Let me Google that for you:
Get your fingers in crate-digging shape, Easties, it's time to go record shopping again!
