Locally shot and produced "smart horror tale" Make-Out With Violence has long been a source of pride, debate and intrigue for many of us residing in Nashville. Once upon a time, current Scene editor-in-chief Jim Ridley explored MOWV's genesis, suggesting that it just "may be the most impressive local feature yet." Since then, it made its local debut at Next Big Nashville 2008, took home some big awards at the Nashville Film Festival, was featured in Nylon, screened at South by Southwest and more.

And after all that, I'll still bet a whole bunch of you are like, "Right, sure. But, you know, I never saw it." No excuse now. According to The Deagol Brothers — the Nashvillians behind Make-Out With Violence — the film is now available on DVD and via On Demand. Sayeth The Deagols:

The regular DVD includes the film, a behind the scenes documentary, commentary, deleted scenes & score, live performance videos by The Non-Commissioned Officers and The Glib, radio spots and a booklet of essays by filmmaker Craig Zobel and critic James Rocchi. The limited edition DVD includes all of the above in a LP sleeve that also houses a poster and an abridged Vinyl version of The Non-Commissioned Officers award-winning soundtrack. Blu-rays are still available for Pre-Order and will available later this month.

And when OST-makers The Non-Comms aren't writing songs for Garnier Fructis commercials, they can sometimes be spotted playing brand-new tunes — "Rich Stuff," for instance — at CMJ. Godspeed, Non-Comms. Godspeed, MOWV.
