* Rolling Stone’s Jenny Eliscu caught up with Kings of Leon’s Caleb Followill at KOL’s pigeon-shit makeup performance in St. Louis recently, where the lead King had the following to say: “I hate fucking hipsters.” Who doesn’t, right? Well, the point was that Followill has no interest in being a flash in the pan, and while everyone’s talking “indie this and indie that,” he “wanted to have a box-set career,” and his troupe will “gladly be the next generation of bands that aren’t going anywhere.”

* Speaking of people who hate hipsters (well, at least speaking of rock stars who hate “hip motherfuckers”), Jack White is allegedly slated to be the musical guest on Conan O’Brien’s inaugural episode of Conan, premiering Nov. 8 on TBS. The White Stripes were the final musical guests on Late Night With Conan O’Brien, so it’s coming full circle. Seth Rogan is the lead guest … so, you know, um … well, I guess I actually don’t have anything to say about Seth Rogan. [TwentyFourBit]

* Speaking of hip motherfuckers and hating things, Vice Magazine apparently really hates Bad Cop’s new release, Harvest the Beast. I mean, they seriously didn’t like it. In fact, they deemed it the “Worst Album of the Month” in September and said Bad Cop “sound like khaki pants.” But you know what? I deem Vice’s denunciation of Bad Cop lazy criticism — and yes, I know that’s what they’re kind of going for. But of the 67 words they managed to drum up about BC’s record, the majority of them were about other bands with “bad” or “cop” in their respective names. Also, if they think Harvest the Beast is the worst record of September, they’re clearly not listening to very many records. I mean, it came out the same week as Weezer’s Hurley. You’re telling me that shit doesn’t sound like khaki pants? Watch Bad Cop’s video for “Control" and form your own opinion.

* And speaking of hipsters, want to see something that no hipster would ever be interested in at all?! It’s Gwyneth Paltrow’s video for “Country Strong” from the film Country Strong. Dig those mysterious fake sidemen.
