Well, looks like Gayngs are headed to Nashville anyway, but not to play a show at Mercy Lounge for Drew Mischke and his Captain hat. No, after having to cancel their appearance at the Austin City Limits festival this weekend, members of the band are headed to our fair city to pick up the gear they left on their tour bus — the owner of which says he told the driver to come back to Nashville because the band didn't pay their $6,000 rental fee. That's according to this story in the band's hometown paper, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. Interviewed for the story, CJ Curtsinger of CJ Starbuses says that CJ just did what CJ had to do: "If CJ takes your bus away from you, it's either because you're tearing it up or you didn't pay me. Ask anybody: I'm one of the fairest guys in the business." Gayngs have their side of the story, too, but they're not telling anyone. Sorry they're not going to play, but here's a vid to ease your pain.
