Anyhow, if Pixies ain't where you're headed, or if you're looking to catch more than just that this weekend, there's actually a little something for everyone. There's Deep Fried Five at 12th & P, the second installment from local artists' collective Family Tree over at The 5 Spot, all sorts of Americana Fest showcases and shindigs, Mashville, Bryan Jones, Dozen Dimes w/Diarrhea Planet and even Buzzfest, featuring Shinedown, Papa Roach, Drowning Pool and a whole bunch of other bands I genuinely thought were long-extinct ... if that's the sort of thing you can get into.
