Weekend Round-Up: Happy Birthday to Us Style

Hoorah! The Cream is now 4 years old. As you may have noticed us mention a time or two, we'll be celebrating tonight at Exit/In with My So-Called Band — who will be playing Pinkerton in its entirety — along with Tristen, Shaky Voices and DJ sets from Grimey's staff. There will of course be all sorts of giveaways, as well. (By the by, I saw some of the prizes yesterday, and they're pretty legit.)

As much as we'd like to have the weekend round-up be a listing of the above show over and over again, we couldn't do that to you. We have to give you all the options; we're classy like that. Unfortunately, music listings editor Adam Gold is out of town at the moment, so Haruch and I had to compile the listings ourselves — meaning the margin of error this week is either higher or lower ... depending on how much faith you have in Gold. In addition to the Cream party tonight, this weekend also offers release shows from Kyle Andrews, Jasmin Kaset and Mark Robinson and an appearance from the legendary Trina. Whoa. Have a look after the jump, and let us know what we missed.

We'll see you tonight.

Friday:

* Nashville Cream's Fourth Anniversary Bash feat. My So-Called Band, Tristen, Shaky Voices & more at Exit/In

* Heartbeater w/Faux Ferocious, Spanish Candles & Flora Shakespeare at The End

* Kyle Andrews EP Release Show feat. Heypenny, Mother/Father & Gold Motel at Mercy Lounge

* Julie Lee and the Baby-Daddies at Station Inn

* Jasmine Kaset CD Release Show feat. Majestico & The Mattoid at The Basement. By the way, we didn't catch wind of Kaset's new record in time to write it up, but trust me, it's good. Ornate, lush, and baroque-poppy thanks to production from Jordan Lehning.

* Jerry Castle at The 5 Spot

* Soul Cages: A Sting Tribute at 3rd & Lindsley

* Bane w/Trapped Under Ice, Cruel Hand & Alpha and Omega at Rocketown

The rest is here.

Saturday:

* Strictly Social Film Shoot at Avenue 9 (3 p.m.)

* Kyle Andrews at Grimey's (5 p.m.)

* Girl in a Coma w/Agent Ribbons, The Billy Goats & Erin Manning at The End

* Mark Robinson Release Show at The Basement

* Trina at Limelight

* Songwriter Session feat. Charley Stefl at Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum

* Musicians Corner feat. Joseph Lemay, Half Brass, Shelly Fraley, Scissormen, Parachute Musical & more at Centennial Park

* Grand Ole Opry feat. Ashton Sheperd, Holly Williams, The SteelDrivers & more at The Ryman

* Hillbilly Casino w/Al and the Black Cats, The Carry-Ons & Dirty D and the Sweaty Meat at The Muse

* The Civil Wars w/Madi Diaz at 3rd & Lindsley

* The Floating Men 20th Anniversary Show at The Rutledge
The rest is here.
