In a ceremony held yesterday morning, the famed wooden circle at the heart of the Grand Ole Opry stage was repositioned at its center. Guitar-slingin’ country juggernaut Brad Paisley joined Opry eldest statesmen Little Jimmy Dickens for a duet on “Will the Circle Be Unbroken” to celebrate the return of the indelible institution that bridges country music’s past, present and future. After weathering 46 inches of nature’s wrath last May, the renovated Opry house is set to reopen — ahead of schedule — with a star-studded revue featuring country crooners from Charlie Daniels to Trace Adkins Sept. 28.
Take that, water.
