Nashville's No. 1 piano-playing, Volvo-driving, flood photo-taking, hat-wearing, Elliott Smith-covering songster is teaming up with England's No. 1 novel-writing, song list-making, Believer-contributing, High Fidelity-creating writer on an album of songs called Lonely Avenue. Nick Hornby wrote the words, and Ben Folds wrote the music and the melodies. Here to talk about it are the men themselves, shot in that narrow-depth-of-field style everyone seems to love these days. The album's out Sept. 28, and the song "Levi Johnston's Blues" may or may not be on it.
