I don’t know about y’all, but I’ve got more friends who are religious about Halloween than I have friends who are religious. Each year, like kids waiting for Santa to come down the chimney, they wait in agony for Oct. 31 to roll around so they can embrace their inner goth, play dress-up or inject candy-apples with cyanide. Luckily for them, Halloween will come 11 days early in Nashville this year, as on Oct. 20, the “Gruesome Twosome” — Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie — will bring their Halloween Hootenany Tour to our very own Municipal Auditorium.
I knew I was saving those leftover Bonnaroo mushrooms for something.
So, the question isn’t, “Are you gonna go?” but “What are you gonna go as?” I’m thinking about dressing up like a blogger to scare children (aka metalheads).
