Whilst wandering the streets of Chicago this weekend, I received a link to the above video. I should mention that we have all sorts of Lollapalooza coverage heading your way — featuring photographs by completely pathetic amateur photographer D. Patrick Rodgers. But right now, I'm playing catch-up and wishing I'd gone by my house to change shirts after leaving the airport earlier today.
Sharing these commercials David Shamban makes has basically become one of my favorite ace-in-the-hole series of blog posts. Shamban — you know, the guy who made the potential TurboTax, Nokia and Bounty commercials using local rock dudes. I don't know if any of his commercials have been picked up by these companies/products, but I like that he's getting mad absurdist with his style lately. "Just thought I should mention my house was struck by lightning not 2 minutes after uploading," Shamban relays in the video's description field. "Sparks flew out of the wall. It was kind of awesome." Was it as awesome as a Rastafarian kitty cat singing about toasted subs? Good luck answering that question.
