Neko Case is postponing her August dates — including the scheduled Aug. 17 show at TPAC — because she's frankly kind of tired of playing shows all the time. And when people throw shit at her bandmates in the middle of a show
, making her wonder if she has to choke a bitch, which she totally would, that probably doesn't make her feel like getting back on the tour bus again and performing, you know? The official press release we received says Case will be "taking some time off before hitting the road again this fall," though it makes no specific mention of making up the canceled dates in the jilted cities when she does. I have to say, when I saw she was coming here again after playing The Ryman solo
and then The Cannery with the New Pornographers
in the span of 11 months, I thought that was kind of a grueling pace.
In any, uh, case, Neko C. will be playing Bumbershoot — and so will JEFF! Those of you who bought N.C. tickets can get your money back at the point of purchase. Full release below.
