In the least heartening local music news of the last 24 hours, local rapper Young Buck had his house raided by federal agents, according to a report by TMZ. The agents — apparently armed with a shotgun — came to collect on approximately $300,000 in back taxes, seizing "assets like recording equipment, jewelry, furniture, his platinum wall plaques ... and even his kids' PlayStation." Harsh. It's not like dude's importing rosewood from Madagascar or anything.

"This IRS situation came about because I trusted accountants, lawyers, and managers to handle my business for me while I focused on making music," Buck tells TMZ. As you may recall, we had Mr. Buck on the cover of our newsweekly a few weeks ago, and he talked about trying to get out of his record deal kerfuffle with 50 Cent, and hoping to someday buy the house he grew up in on Seifried Street in North Nashville. That looks like another dream deferred for now.
