* Keegan DeWitt has a new Daytrotter session to go with the release of his new EP Nothing Shows via the site's Record Barn imprint — the first release of non-'Trotter material. Check out the video for "Hearts Beat Fast," with all its wistful disloyalty, after the jump. [Daytrotter]

* Looks like English folk singer Laura Marling will be covering Neil Young ("Needle and the Damage Done") and Jackson C. Frank (“Blues Run the Game”) on the Jack White-produced 7-inch she'll be putting out on Third Man Records on Aug. 9. [TwentyFourBit]

* Nashville Nights has a Myrryrs remix of the Jensen Sportag song "Justine." I've never heard of Myrryrs before, either, but maybe you'll be glad you did. [Nashville Nights]

* Here's a pretty decent video of Brendan Benson performing "Poised and Ready" at The Basement the other night. [YouTube]

* Oh, and Rock 'n' Roll trivia at Mercy Lounge has been moved to Tuesdays (todays), at least temporarily.
