Maybe you've heard enough about Nashville junk lately, and think you don't need to hear about boys trying to touch Ke$ha's, but this is a benefit show, so let's keep things in perspective, OK? Here's D-Rock from the pulp edition:

Love her or hate her — my spell-check certainly doesn’t care for her dubiously punctuated moniker — Ke$ha is totally repping Music City as her hometown right when it counts. First she donated 1,000 pounds of dog and cat food to Nashville Metro Animal Shelter for pets stranded by the flood. Now she’s hosting a benefit concert, with 100 percent of the proceeds reportedly going toward flood relief. No word on whether or not the former Brentwood resident turned chart topper will bust out the glow paint-bodysuit combo she sported during her performance on Saturday Night Live a few weeks back, but there will likely be plenty of club-thump crunking and saucy innuendo. Locals Heypenny and Space Capone open; this is a big gig for those boys, so be sure to show up early and support ’em. Thirty bucks gets you a general-admission ticket, and $100 secures you a meet-and-greet. I recommend taking the opportunity to tell Ke$ha about the importance of oral hygiene — Jack Daniel’s is not an adequate substitute for toothpaste.

7:30 p.m. at Limelight.

Sure, in a few years her look may end up a bit like Shane MacGowan with the Jack seal of approval.
