First off: No Crofton Show again this week. I know, I know. It sucks. Crofton tells us he missed last week due to some unforeseen personal circumstances, and this week, producer Joe Baine Colvert is out of town. Though Lake Fever is undergoing some location changes, Crofton remains confident that the show will be back soon, hopefully next week. “Chalk it up to our summer vacay,” he says.

In other, significantly more awesome news, Post, City Paper and sometime Scene staffer J.R. Lind will be featured on tonight’s episode of Jeopardy. Seriously! Murfreesboro smarty-pants/bowtie-wearing emo apologist makes good. If you don’t believe me, watch his promo. Tune in this evening at 6 p.m. to see if he “makes headlines.” He's also composed a "City Limits" piece on his experience that will run in next week's Scene. Show-wise, this weekend’s looking pretty good. We’ve got the Blindaroo benefit featuring Heypenny & Spring Hill Spider Party, The Long Players performing The Joshua Tree, another Candice Burnside benefit (featuring JEFF), Jesco White, ShellShag and plenty more. Have a look after the jump to see this weekend’s biz, compiled by our faithful listings man, Adam Gold. Let us know what we missed, and be safe!

Update: The Music City Guitar Show is Saturday at the fairgrounds. Read more after the jump.
