Doctorin' the TARDIS [Nerdy Bits]

* Dude, he's shooting lightning out of his hands! If nobody does this at the next Road to Bonnaroo, all my votes are going to Starlume. And Tesla covers won't cut it either, for those of you thinking about cutting corners. Bonus Dalek Love: The Timelords - Doctorin' the TARDIS. Because you should never pass up the opportunity to listen to that song. [Via Buzzfeed]

More nerdy bits after the jump.

* Charlie Watts "If It Ain't Got That Swing." Carlie Watts talks about playing drums, not liking solos and being awesome in general. [Via Fark]

* I love ZZ Top covers as much as the next guy, but this drummer is way, WAY too into this one. The jackets rule though. [Via every person on the Internet who knows a drummer]

*Some musician in NYC survived being impaled by a metal spike after falling from a fourth story building. I'd say it's safe to assume he was a drummer, or maybe just a big Townes Van Zandt fan. Allegedly, he was drunk. Aren't you glad Nashville doesn't have many tall buildings to fall from? [Via The Daily Swarm]

* Ozzy Osbourne performs "Crazy Train," the smooth jazz version. I'm assuming I don't have to tell you how happy this makes me. [Via Funny or Die]

* U.S.S. Pinafore. Because musical theater and Star Trek weren't geeky enough on their own. [Via io9]

* And since I've got the bully pulpit: Donald Glover 4 Spider. Let's save this franchise from itself, folks. [Via Film School Rejects]
