Creamtastic Lake Fever Presents The Chris Crofton Show, Episode 24

You know how some nights you’ll go out and put your Drunk Hat on, then you wake up early the next day and realize it still hasn’t come off your wig-dome yet? Next thing you know, you’re spewing your catch phrases to the tune of the Welcome Back Kotter theme, measuring your wang on a sand pile, blowing out mainframes and listening to some kind of Alfred Hitchcock horror story on vinyl. We’ve all been there.

Speaking of creepy and bizarre, I was recently lucky enough to screen Harmony Korine’s latest, Trash Humpers. Our cover story next week is on Humpers — it’s opening at The Belcourt May 28 — which actually features Crofton as a sketchy, offensive joke-teller. Kind of a departure for him. Anyway, the film is an interesting exercise in what the mind is capable of conceiving and producing, and it made me feel funny. Which I like. That’s beside the point. Point is this: new Crofton Show!
