The final RtB of 2010 is here. If you pick up this week's glossy, you'll see a Critic's Pick reporting that Cassino is still on the bill. Incorrect. They have, in fact, been replaced by The Deep Fried 5, who Maloney recently spilled some ink over. The info on tonight:

It’s finally upon us: the fourth and final installment of Mercy Lounge’s Road to Bonnaroo series. It’s perhaps the most highly attended, closely watched, polarizing local rock series ever, and now it’s down to just eight bands. Local experimental songstress and Scene pick Cortney Tidwell unfortunately had to cancel due to flood damage in her rehearsal space, but she’s been replaced by And the Relatives. Also fighting it out on tonight’s bill are The Deep Fried 5, Delta Saints, Heartbeater (dark horses), apparent frontrunner Space Capone, Pico vs. Island Trees, My Tyger and Cheer Up Charlie Daniels. The winner of a combined audience and judge vote will go on to play in Manchester alongside fellow RtB champs Caitlin Rose, How I Became the Bomb and The Non-Commissioned Officers beneath the mid-June sun. Stay hydrated, fools!

You might recall that Space Capone were the expected winners in the final installment of Road to Bonnaroo 2009, but Heypenny sneaked out of the creeper wearing marching band outfits and pulled an upset. To see performance videos and hear MP3s from all eight bands on tonight's bill, drift on over to Mercy Lounge's site. It's gonna be a good one. The Spin will see you there.
