Up to this point Stardeath and White Dwarfs are probably better known for their associations than their own recorded output. Frontman David Coyne is the nephew of Flaming Lips singer Wayne Coyne, and their bands paired up for a jointly deconstructed, weirdo remake of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon late last year. Nepotism aside, though, Stardeath’s experimental pop shares plenty of similarities with the Lips’ most adventurous releases. They’ve absorbed acid-fried ‘60s psychedelia almost as thoroughly as their older and wiser benefactors and update it with the occasional bit of disco-beat indie rock. More often than not, though, they’re contented to stick with good old-fashioned swirling mind-rippers. “Smoking Pot Makes Me Not Want to Kill Myself” pretty much sums it. 9 p.m. at Exit/In MATT SULLIVAN
