We here at the Nashville Cream are your friends. Want us to plug your band? Sure, why the hell not? We'll plug your band. But I have to tell you, you'd be better off making some friends over at Stereogum. People are just going to read our blog and make fun of you for never having played a show or releasing your album through the Deerhunter message board or wonder why you're our "band to watch" despite the fact they haven't seen you do anything.

Take Girls in the Eighties for example. Not only did they take their name from a Radiohead song, but they've evaded the Cream radar entirely and gone straight to the national blogosphere. They have a self-released album called Teenage Royalty they apparently did release through the Deerhunter message board and of course the old school way via MySpace.

All snarks aside, this glitch-tronic indie bedroom pop act isn't bad. But instead of "Band to Watch," I'm labeling them more this week's "Band to Acknowledge". Somebody get these guys a Kickstarter account going so they can afford to play a show.
