Cream Local Musician Dave Cloud Arrested and Charged With Stalking [Updated]

Beloved local character, Springwater staple and internationally known outsider crooner Dave Cloud has been arrested and charged with stalking. A hearing on the case is scheduled for April 1. When reached for comment, Cloud said that he expects to be fully exonerated and hopes people will suspend judgment until his court date.
"I'm innocent," Cloud said. "I'm not kidding."

Update June 21, 2010: According to D.A. Susan Niland (via email), the deferred judgment includes "9 months probation, and a stay-away order for the victim(s) and family members."

There are a lot of things noticeably absent from this post that actual lowlife pieces of shit would have included. The only fine points presented are in the form of public records (with the victim's name redacted)and the accused was reached for comment. I don't really see any low blows.
I don't see how this is a low blow in any way. If anything, I think the post is positive in hoping Cloud is cleared of the charges.
If they hadn't reported it, people would claim they were playing favorites. duh. No way to win.
Out of curiosity, did the Scene redact the names? It's not clear if there are one or two different people listed as "victims."
I have a hard time ascribing any criminal intent to David Cloud.
...for gathering and dispersing unbiased information of interest to the local music scene!
Personally, I would feel more unsafe knowing that Dave Cloud WASN'T every place at every time, possibly watching my every move.

Dave Cloud is a good guy and at worst, I think this is a misunderstanding. If I called the cops on everyone I know who has stopped by my house or I've recognized in traffic, I could have a whole lot of people in jail. I strongly believe he is innocent and I hope he is proven to be.

Hey, Anonymous, might wanna read the Affidavits before jumping to conclusions.
He wasn't swinging the baby arm, he was driving his car. I think Benoch said it best,
"...This is a misunderstanding."
Also, interesting to know I can have someone arrested by saying they've driven by my house several times.
My bet? It's a coincidence. Does the victim live near Springwater or Dave's house, possibly?
The missing piece of the puzzle is the phone call and the car conversation. Without that, either side could be to blame.
However, as always I'm on Team Cloud.
dave has mental issues and whatever piece of vandy crap had him arrested needs to stop hanging out in our space. we know how to cope with and love our crazies.

Who physically stalks anymore? And as for Dave, i guess we can all charge him every time he drives down Belmont. I agree with P.Daddy Supreme. This is total B.S.
