Moving Pictures / Sightings Gwyneth Paltrow Singing 'Killing Me Softly' at Mercy Lounge

So you know Gwyneth Paltrow -- who promptly quit her macrobiotic diet shortly after arriving here -- and the always great-smelling Tim McGraw were shootin' a movie in Nashville called Love Don't Let Me Down (which you may read about soon in the glossy folds of the Scene print edition), and you may know there was a wrap party at Mercy Lounge the other night. You may not have known that the very same Gwyneth Paltrow sang karaoke that night, including a Fugee-fied rendition of the Roberta Flack classic slow jam "Killing Me Softly." Now, we weren't going to say anything, and we definitely didn't film anything that night, but someone sent a clip to Videogum for the whole Internet to see and, well, we're on the Internet. So here it is.

Blurry and short -- like life itself! I saw a clip of this performance elsewhere on the webnets the other day, and it's since been taken down, so this might not last long. Enjoy the intense voyeurism while you can!

Anyone know if they were filming part of this at Miss Kitty's Place on Hermitage Ave? A crew was there a few weeks back, and then again this past Monday.

Paltrow has been hoping for a music career for years. She's not bad, but she's not exactly good either.

They shot some of a movie, "Black, White and Blues" (directed by Mario Van Peebles)at Kitty's Place. It's due out this spring.
