Remember German Castro? They played a lot of shows, and then the one guy broke his back and moved away, then he sorta moved back and they played a farewell show, then the other guy moved to Alaska and that was that. Until now! Just look at the "press release" we got yesterday from former Team Cream metal consultant Matt Sullivan:
FORMER NASHVILLE SEXY SUPERGROUP RELEASES ENTIRE CATALOG FOR...............FREEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!German Castro, whose influence can be found everywhere from Sgt Pepper's to Avatar, have just made their entire catalog available at germancastro.bandcamp.com. Find exclusive tracks that were originally released on questionable media of scarce availability by a band whose notoriety landed mention on a local NPR piece THIS ONE TIME!!!!!
When reached for comment, bassist/vocalist/CEO/homemaker Matt Sullivan had this to say: "SURF'S UP!!!!!!"
The band are available to interested media for interview.
Here's that NPR story, in case you thought that was ironical. (Listen for them at about the 3:10 mark.) Point your browser over to germancastro.bandcamp.com to download everything they ever did, and a few things they didn't.

I listened to the bandcamp stuff, and, well, I know that Matt S. was/is a former writer for the Scene, so it's obvious why you guys blogged about this. The music, however, is about as trite as you can get for this style.
Heard a million other bands do this in many configurations, including bass and drums. considering that there are other bands in Nashville that play this style with more creativity and soul, did you guys cover this for the sole reason that the band members are friends of yours and that a former Scene staffer was involved? Because, if you say it's because of the music, then you clearly don't get out much. German Castro must be the Scene's token heavy band, i guess...
