This Saturday, Belmont "Debate '08" University is having a free rock show, presented by the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business. That's all the flier says. I was all, "Why no band names on the flier? Is Diarrhea Planet playing the Curb Center?" Nah. If you browse on over to the event website you can check out the lineup: The Delta Saints, Eikon, John Flanagan and Daniel Berrios.

Judging by Flanagan's artist statement, you definitely want to catch this guy on his way up:

John Flanagan is a Boston-born, Nashville-based 22-year-old performer who has spent the majority of his already impressive career perfecting the thrill of his dynamic stage presence. ... Unseen since the glory days of Freddie Mercury and Robert Plant, the magnetism of Flanagan's lyrical phrasing couples the climactic peeks of his seamless falsetto to create a familiar, yet cutting edge musical style.

At least he's got a healthy sense of perspective! Show is free and starts at 7 p.m.
