Today's the day that the Bonnaroo lineup "unfolds," as we were told would happen. The unfolding sure feels a lot like a trickle, but let's not get caught up in semantics, right? There's also supposed to be a big "unveiling" at 11 a.m. our time, so we shall be on the lookout for that. Meanwhile, we'll update this post throughout the day as we find stuff out.

It looks like artists' sites are the source of some initial confirmations, as is the case with the Fogerty. Here's what we know so far: UPDATE: The list got pretty long, so it's now tucked after the jump, in no particular order. According to johnfogerty.com, he's playing on Sunday.

I see what you did there! OK, so I've deleted one extraneous "John Fogerty" from the post.
Fogerty!

Posted by VixeyFox on February 9, 2010 at 11:15 AM

Yeah, outside of Phoenix and the Lips, this is looking pretty awful. Let's hope they are just holding back on us.

Posted by Andrew J. on February 9, 2010 at 11:27 AM

So, we've only seen 15 percent of the lineup, and already anonymous jackasses are complaining. God, I hate you, Internet.

Posted by Jesse P on February 9, 2010 at 11:35 AM

While I kinda like some of these bands...and love the DMB...I don't $250 like any of them.

the bonnaroo website is directing people to the myspace page where they're announcing a band every 5 minutes. Its a cookoo clock graphic. Actually i think its kinda clever.
I'm hoping for Neil Young.

I would love to see funny Steve Martin, but will go out of my way to avoid banjo Steve Martin. Let's hope dude's a team player and makes a stop at the comedy tent when he's not busy singing songs about creeks or whatever.

So far this day long announcement has been a slow trickle of disappointment. When are they gonna finally drop a name that makes my dick hard?

report
Posted by Gold on February 9, 2010 at 12:32 PM

Cool to see Baaba Maal on the list, though!

@Doyle WHAAAAAAT?!? I'll admit that I'm not a huge fan of Blueprint 3, but that dude puts on a great show!

Dropkick Murphys confirmed!

report
Posted by susdog on February 9, 2010 at 1:09 PM

If I can't hear trey shred balls on yem, I aint thinking about leaving my block for manchester.
Who are the headliners? Fogerty? Dmb? What year is this? I heard blues traveler is also playing. Yowza! On the reals. Dmb, blues traveler, weezer...is it 1996?
On that note "body heat" will be presenting a show entitled "date night: find someone to love".it will be going down on saturday in murfreesboro at the 3 brothers (tomato tomato). We might or might not be playing songs by the afforementioned bands. In our minds it IS 1996.

report
Posted by mr. jimmy on February 9, 2010 at 1:14 PM

How many more are coming? 'Cause so far, I'd only see 6 of these. Really underwhelmed.

report
Posted by Ashley Spurgeon on February 9, 2010 at 1:14 PM

Our line up includes:
Sly and the Family Stone
Public Image Limited
Devo
Echo and the Bunnymen
The Specials
Pavement
Thom Yorke
De La Soul
Gil Scott-Heron
...and that doesn't even include headliners. Come 'on Bonnaroo, at least make it a challenge.

report
Posted by Coachella on February 9, 2010 at 1:38 PM

Gwar and the Dropkick Murphys? Fuck Yeah 1996!

report
Posted by Bawston Sean on February 9, 2010 at 2:31 PM

It looks like the folks at Bonnaroo are trying to tap into the "Dad" market this year. Jeff Beck WTF?

Damn, why not go ahead and throw bush and no doubt into the mix. Gavin and gwen are so the hottest couple ever, and if both their bands play they can bring the kids on the bus and have a real family affair.
I heard in the comedy tent they are going to have a massive game of singled out hosted by jenny mccartney and jim carey (also married). 1996!
Body heat on saturday. We might or might not play don't speak or glicerine.

Sly and the Family Stone
Public Image Limited
Devo
Echo and the Bunnymen
The Specials
Pavement
Thom Yorke
De La Soul
Gil Scott-Heron
45 minute sets by all of these amazing groups would just piss me off. Full headliner length sets and late night shows that can last 'til dawn win.

report
Posted by Hey Coachella on February 9, 2010 at 4:06 PM

I'd like to see Jay-Z, Wale and The Black Keys take the helm at Superjam. Just sayin'
So who are the "headliners" this year?

report
Posted by The Other Gold on February 9, 2010 at 4:09 PM

Is there a super-secret reunion that's not been announced yet because this is THE WORST. I don't even want to go anymore.

report
Posted by Ashley Spurgeon on February 9, 2010 at 4:14 PM

Coachella sets for notable artists are usually full length. Just sayin'...Also, is Neil Young playing this thing or not? It's really starting to look like Bonnaroo is just gonna be about the drugs this year. I could see half of these bands at Exit/In or Mercy Lounge.

report
Posted by Gold on February 9, 2010 at 4:23 PM

I know that's right.

According to Wikipedia, 311 are among the artists yet to be announced. Is this Bonnaroo or the Crawfish Boil?

You know what had a better lineup? Lilith Fair '98. Seriously.

report
Posted by Ashley Spurgeon on February 9, 2010 at 7:05 PM

Gold, I don't know if this is so much Crawfish Boil as it is Memphis in May.

report
Posted by ryan on February 9, 2010 at 7:09 PM

Its more like the horde tour 96. Awesome. Substitute rusted root with michael franti and spearhead and substitute blind melon for the avett brothers. Sub lucero for the allman brothers and blitzen trapper for rhcp....who cares.
No pavement? I mean, I don't give a whole mess of care for them...buuut they are supposedly playing pitchfork and cochella. I guess I should have made it out to the non exsistant 5 spot show.
How's about them, rhcp, jesus lizard, and my bloody valentine to round out our horde tour. Sweeeeeet! Rhcp!
bonnaroo. You were better when it was panic two nights in a row, cause then at least all of the dads and moms weren't there. And food was made by dudes with names like spliffy or smokey. "Hey spliffy! Can I get my grilled cheese with extra garic salt? That would make it extra heady." Seriously. If its this lame of a lineup and trey anistasio isn't shredding there, its worthless.
