If you're a fan of raucous mod psychedelia, then New Jersey quartet The Black Hollies are the band for you. They faithfully pay to homage to influences like The Small Faces, The Monks, The Animals and, obviously, The Hollies better than just about anyone else on the garage-revival circuit. If you happened to catch any one of their handful of Nashville shows over the past couple years, then you know they're pretty fucking good at what they do. Three of the band's members were previously in the painfully underrated, and markedly different sounding, hard-luck power-rock tour de force The Rye Coalition. This week the ragtag crew over at our favorite music row studio posted the Lake Fever Session the band cut when they breezed through town last November. Check out how badass it is.
