A few people got a little hot under the collar when we announced which bands will be competing in this year's Road to Bonnaroo shows -- after all, there is so very much at stake! This year there are four (not three) nights of all-out competition -- and thus four Nashville bands will win their way to an outdoor gig in the proximity of 80,000 uncleanly people in Manchester. Now it's time to start the speculation all over again, as the actual lineups have come across our electronic threshold and are posted below.
Who will be up against who? Which of last year's runners-up have the best chance of breaking through this time around? What night will have the closest vote tally? Will "string section" be this year's "marching band"? Or was "face paint" last year's "string section"? Guess we'll all have to wait and see -- the first RTB show is less than three weeks away.

Hillbilly Casino's song about John Rich is some fucking funny shit. It's by far the best locally-penned song I've heard in the last couple of years...
