No press releases clued us in to this peanut butter puddin' surprise -- just good, old-fashioned Net-scouring from our Listings Department. Louisville's favorite psychedelic, proggy, Southern rock-tinged noodle-jammers will be kicking off their tour April 20 -- why does that date ring a bell for me? -- and they'll be hitting Municipal Auditorium on April 21. While I'm not an enormous My Morning Jacket fan, I always thought Z was a solid record, and I found Jim James' rafter-reaching vocal acrobatics especially moving while under the influence of some potent mood-alterers at Bonnaroo '08. Good times. The Preservation Hall Jazz Band will open, and tickets go on sale here Feb. 5 at 10 a.m. (Pre-sale starts Feb. 3.)

And while we're on the subject of Louisville rock 'n' rollers, remember how Wax Fang's Exit/In show Saturday night got canceled on accounta #TheSituation2010? It's been rescheduled for April 2, and The Non-Coms and How I Became the Bomb are still down to perform. Everybody wins.

I think I expressed a moderated degree of love here. Like I said, I like Z quite a bit, and they're great live performers. What's the problem?
