Should be a good one at Exit/In tonight. Local collective/faction/junta Meltface takes over the Elliston Place club as part of the revamped Rock the Block series.

Bands on the bill include such local luminaries as The Whole Fantastic World, The Velcro Stars, Hammertorch, HP Witchcraft, Kat Brock, Bird Cloud, The Avery Set, Homework, and Heartbeater. The show starts at 8 p.m. and....

"But Steve," I can hear you asking, "what's a Meltface?"

Well, when they're not telling you how to make it big in Nashville, putting on shows and generally carrying on, this music faction is off doing awesome stuff like putting out records and making art and shit:

The Meltface music faction is an umbrella corporation for a host of artistic outlets from friends of the saucejuice collective. Meltface makes it possible for us to record and release records, sell art and provide services over the table, insure our vehicle and health, and tour all over the world. Meltface is a record label, a recording studio, a video production company, video and visual art, musical management, show promotion, and so much more.

About tonight's lineup: If you've been wondering what James "Wooden" Jackson "Wand" Toth has been up to, he's been making music with Glossary strongman Bingham Barnes, States-man Tyler Coppage and others, and calling it HP Witchcraft. Kat Brock has a record coming out on Theory 8 real soon, and Heartbeater we've told you about. The Whole Fantastic World and Velcro Stars you know all about by now, don't you?

Bonus good news for people who like good news: The show's 18+ so even youngsters can get their visages liquefied.
