We're bringing you this week's episode of The Chris Crofton Show bright and early, so go ahead and start baking that mind dome of yours out with a hearty dose of the sweet Georgia Brown. This one features loads of KISS talk, a call from both of the Crofton parents, Joe Baine Colvert admitting his role as the daddy of local rock, and even a cameo from the Cream. Yes, we called in. Yes, my haircut would look funny on a rapper, and yes, we enjoy Big League Chew as we cower in our cubicles here in the Fortress of Creamitude. You, too, can call in and talk to the Croftons as they record their show. Keep up with our Twitter to see when to call. This one is streaming--that's everyone's preference, right? Enjoy.

This makes my day worth starting!

Thanks for posting this early today! It definitely makes my day better! I'm pretty sure the people in my office think I'm a bit unhinged, leaning close to my computer speakers and laughing to myself. Especially when trying to imagine Tiger Woods' morning ritual of feces extraction by robot.

PS. is there anything that you can do to get the volume on the phone audio onthe same level as the microphones? I have to turn the volume up to hear callers, then scramble to turn it down in time to prevent my office-mates from hearing the Crofton shenanigans...

Valerie - thanks for the heads up on the telephone volume issue. Until someone gives us money to purchase a multichannel telephone interface, I'll just have to have Chris hold the phone away from his mouth. That guy is one loud talker.

We'll match what WRVU was paying the Croftons. Better yet, we'll double what we pay our bloggers. Money for everyone!

For the record, I also like the second Strokes album best.

Any way you guys could maybe compress the audio and bring it all to the front? It's hard to listen to sometimes because of the volume shifts. C'mon lake fever! Use the studio tech!!

That Brittany Murphy mention was appropriately timed.
Do the Croftons have ESP?

There is not a topic made that Chris Crofton won't tackle head on!

Do yall think music culture is heading towards a future where songs are released for free and singers make their moolah through concerts and sponserships?
