Ol' Jeremy Ferguson, producer and head Planet Earth fanboy at Battle Tapes, has posted his fourth annual Christmas present to Nashville, Battlepod. What is a Battlepod? Why, it's the podcast that keeps on podcasting, and is available this year in two formats--mono and stereo. Any record geek worth his or her cartridge will tell you that you've never really heard Battlepod until you've heard it in mono. It's the way Brian Wilson intended!
Anyway, the 2009 edition features Lylas, The Millionaire Magicians, Dave Paulson (of The Privates), Jay Leo Phillips (of Apollo Up! and "...And You Will Taste Us by the Trail of Bread"), Jonas Stein (of Turbo Fruits), and Tristen (of Tristen), performing such songs as "Ruby Falls," "Winter Is "Blue" and "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)." Just as that sentence had a lot of parentheses, Battlepod has a lot of banter, crosstalk and fake interview questions from a space robot. Head over to Battle Tapes to stream or download.
