Cream Calendar Weekend Round-Up: Pizza Party Style Part 1

So Chrystal and the folks over at You Tell Concerts sent us some Domino's Pizza gift certificates for Christmas, and we're throwing ourselves a little Cream pizza party. Good lookin' out, YTC! I recommend trying Domino's weird little Buffalo chicken blobs. Their origin is ambiguous, but they go down smooth. Here are some of tonight's shows:
Hammertorch w/Hands Down Eugene & Shoot the Mountain at The End. Hammertorch has a new EP, which Maloney seems to enjoy. They also put out their record Lions Don't Cry just this summer, and I recall liking that.
Apollo Up! Reunion Show at The 5 Spot feat. Firebirds of the Arctic Ice & Private Dancer. Hop on your Hoveround, grab a spare oxygen tank and check out this blast from the past! F'reals though, Apollo Up! are awesome, and if you never saw them back in the day, now's your chance to hop in the rock 'n' roll time machine.

Kill the City w/Xpia, The Grayces & Dirty D. Plus 3 at Springwater.
Lucky Tubb at fooBar. Yeah, he's related to Ernest. What of it?

in memory of jack rose's untimely passing last saturday, we will be taking donations to send to his wife. if you're unfamiliar with his music or you missed jack's three nashville performances (well, four counting pelt), you owe it to yourself to check out his music. he's got a couple albums coming out on thrill jockey later this year and was poised to get the widespread recognition he so deserved.
i feel lucky to have seen jack play the times that i did. and luckier to have called him a friend.
